On May 23rd, William Dolan and Oliver Delgado of Coast to Coast Mortgage became Delaware's first Certified Mortgage Planning Specialists as accredited by the CMPS Institute. The Institute describes a CMPS as "a recognized expert in the area of mortgage planning, cash flow management and real estate equity management." Mr. Dolan and Mr. Delgado both received their certification after scoring in the top 2% of prospective members.

In a special issue dedicated to housing, Fortune magazine's Janice Revell said that ARMS are a "far better option" for most homeowners. She recommends ARMs for anyone planning to "move in the next nine years or so" because "[they] would be much better off with the ARM... even in the worst case scenario." The Delaware Money School is a community-based effort to provide free and objective financial education in a hassle-free environment. It is a program of the Delaware Financial Literacy Institute, a non-profit organization.
Today, the Delaware Money School released their schedule of over 50 classes, including "Making the Right Choice in Selecting a Mortgage", presented by Oliver Delgado of Coast to Coast Mortgage Inc. Other classes include "Retiring Soon?" by David Booth of Edward Jones and "Making Asset Allocation Work for You" presented by Jim Walls of A.G. Edwards & Sons.
